Notes are synthesized and heard on your device. Recordings you make live in the page's memory and evaporate with the tab; a riff link encodes the notes into the URL itself, so sharing one is you sending a string of text through whatever channel you choose — no server of mine ever holds a note. There is no server of mine at all, beyond static file hosting.
No analytics, no ads (the origin story explains the grudge), no cookies from me, no microphone access — this piano makes sound, it never listens. Two font families arrive from Google Fonts on first load, carrying the standard request metadata to Google once, then caching. Cloudflare shows me an anonymous visitor count. That's everything.
